Our mission is to recreate the connection with the elemental forces of Nature.
Poetry, music & art are the languages which speak to the the soul, which trigger our emotions and pull us out of our apathy. As our imagination comes alive, we gain a new perspective, we begin to see, feel and hear the new harmony emerging from the chaos.
We currently live in the illusion that we exist in a purely human sphere, separate from the Earth, from Nature and from other living beings. This illusion limits us, it diminishes our capacity for empathy and makes us insensitive.
Water is universally recognized as the source of life.
We propose to reconnect our imagination to the oceans, the rivers, the glaciers, the clouds, the mist, the dew, the waterfalls and the fountains...
We approach this in two complimentary ways:
Poetic collective actions
Poetics actions are held with small groups of people anywhere along a body of streaming water.
The purpose is to create a sense of connection with water with our voices, our presence, our intention. This in turn strengthens our balance and favours a sense of community between the participants.
Manga Opera - The Saga of Blue Wolf
How much do we really remember about the process of initiation in our contemporary culture… Does anyone still know how to create a connection with the elemental forces…
This information used to be communicated, thru myths, sagas, stories of magic & noble deeds. We need new myths, new sagas, new stories to guide us on our path.
We are currently creating a Manga Opera, the Saga of an ordinary man who travels the path leading from confusion and loss of self, to successive levels of initiation.
He is lead on this path by Freyja, the Norse goddess of initiation…
Antony Hequet writes the story and composes the music, and is solo performer of all the characters in the Saga. Nadine Rennert creates the costumes, masks, scenography and participates in the research and development.
Water the Element of Life
We chose the water gyre as the symbol for our artistic project.
Water is the element which feeds, connects and harmonises every form of life on earth. It is the sensitive medium which allows both cosmic and local energies to become manifest: ocean Gyres resulting from the rotation of the earth, tides from the pull of the moon, waves large and small from the light breeze or the fearsome hurricane…
Water is the element associated with dreams, the unconscious; it is also symbolically connected with wisdom, persistence, resilience, qualities which we will need to face the great challenges of this very special moment.
The Gyre is the most basic form which water
adopts in many circumstances. The gyre
symbolises the constant cycle of repetition
and transformation of the energies which
animate the Cosmos…
